While I am sharing a lot about my songs in this website, I want to reveal another side of me. I have another special calling in my life. It is because I received TWO unique spiritual gifts from God. One is the gift of prophetic songs; the other is the gift of discerning good and evil. Step by step God led me to discern nutrition products. I combine my knowledge in nutrition and biological science to confirm the spiritual impressions that I receive. That resulted in me doing network marketing business. Usually these companies have science breakthroughs that require a lot of explanations. These products in general do not sell well laying on the shelves in the stores. With the gift came the sense of obligation. I feel a strong sense of responsibility to inform people what is good for them. It is especially the case if they are in serious health crisis or in a pandemic like now.
The challenge came as I juggle the demands of two businesses/ministries. I signed up for one whole year of intensive training to be a professional network marketer. I feel that the skills that I learned from these top leaders can be applied to both the nutrition and the music businesses/ministries. So while I am supposed to be editing the videos and promoting the songs, I found myself going through intensive trainings, and promoting nutrition products that can help support people’s immune system.
A number of times I brought this issue before the Lord, ”Do you want me to do BOTH? Why can’t I just concentrate on the music?” Every time the answer from God is “Yes”. The incidence of Peter fishing in the Sea of Galilee came to my mind. As a professional fisherman he did not catch anything all night. Yet when Jesus told him to throw the net on the other side of the boat (which totally contradicted Peter’s “business sense”), he caught so many fish that Peter’s net almost broke. I seemed to hear the whisper of the Holy Spirit saying, “These people have the Cyrus anointing. I want to impart the Cyrus anointing on you. Didn’t you pray that I would bless you with the finances to do my work?” “Alright Lord, but…” I have to admit that I feel uncomfortable with the look on people’s face as if they were wondering if I was scamming them. I am also very aware of how certain big corporations love to promote drugs. They have the reputation of going after doctors/health care providers who advocate natural ways of healing. “The fear of men is a snare…” (Proverbs 29:25) The Holy Spirit whispers.
It looks like God is calling me to feed people spiritually (through the songs), physically and financially (through the nutrition business). So here I am, trusting the direction that God gives me every day. I subject myself to the challenges to have daily discipline, to overcome fear, to reach out through social media and many more. I wonder how everything is going to iron out. Thankfully, I KNOW the presence of God is with me. His eyes are on me. His face shines upon me. He is a fruit bearer. I know in time I will bear good fruits, while I trust Him day by day, step by step.
