This song is a declaration of the upcoming revival.

On Friday February 6, 2015, we finished talking about 1920’s in America in my American Popular Music Class. I barely managed to sit down in my next Music History Class when all of a sudden I felt a great surge of energy in my belly. The power was so strong that I felt that I could not hold it in at all. Somehow I forgot my iPhone that day, so I took my iPad, rushed out of the classroom and recorded whatever that came out of my mouth. This melody came out. I did not know what it was. I just thought that it was distinctly beautiful. Then I returned to the classroom and sat down. I still remember the look of my music history professor’s face. By this time I was already accustomed to the Holy Spirit’s sudden and drastic movements in very unlikely situations, but I still felt bad. What could I say? It was better than me puking up or having some other drastic things happen in class. The soundtrack of my recording said it was 11:04 a.m. but for some reason my iPad said it was recorded at 11:11 a.m. Deuteronomy 11:11 came to mind, specifically about crossing over to possess “a land of mountains and valleys that drinks in the rain from heaven.” (NIV) I feel it to be a prophetic blessing as this will be the first song that I publish.

After I moved to California, I attended the famous songwriting class at Citrus College. Due to time restraints, I did not want to go through hundreds of melodies to pick one for my final. I remembered this one which could be easily found on my iPad. That is the reason why I chose this melody to work on. Looking back, I believe God knew what He was doing when I forgot my iPhone that day.

When I prayed about the lyrics, I remembered that this song came right after I learned about 1920’s in the United States. It was a decade of change. Many “firsts” happened in the country. For the first time many Americans owned cars, radios and telephones. Soldiers came home from World War 1 and women voted for the first time in America’s history. The country was prosperous and the stocks were high. This melody reminded me of beautiful flowers and green pastures. Naturally, the theme of “spring” came. I asked myself, “What would cause people’s lives to have new beginnings and new growth?”  My answer was “The power of the Holy Spirit”. I witnessed that numerous times during my season with the Healing Ministry.  Many people, including Christians live in frustrations because they do not know the power of the Holy Spirit. Transformation takes place when the Holy Spirit has His way in our lives. He is also called the “Living Water” in the Bible (John 4:10).

May God use this song to bring hope to people’s hearts, that they may know that God has great plans for each one of us.

“Living Water”

It is spring time

Skies are open rain comes down

Where the streams flow

Living colors cover all around

Mighty mountains

Peaceful meadows green sublime

New life springs forth

Yielding abundance

Fruit vines

Bringing forth the best of wine

It is spring time

Heavens open blessings come

There’s a sign

God has sent His one and only precious Son

Jesus came down

He gives living water from on high

The fountains of those with him never runs dry

Chorus

Where Living Water flows

Death and old ways will have no place

Guilt, shame, curses, sins, diseases all washed away

Where Living Water flows

Broken hearted are mended

Those who are lost will be found

Captives are no more bound

It is spring time

Living Water flowing,

Blessings come

Where the spring flows

It gives abundant life that’s so divine

Heavens open

There has never been a better time

May this Living Water sweep us all over
